Trump approves arms delivery to Ukraine
(MENAFN) U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he has authorized the delivery of more weapons to Ukraine and is weighing the possibility of implementing new sanctions against Russia.
“We're sending some defensive weapons to Ukraine, and I've approved that,” Trump stated during a cabinet meeting held at the White House.
He also voiced his displeasure with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying, “I'm not happy with Putin. I can tell you that much right now,” while highlighting the ongoing heavy casualties among both Russian and Ukrainian troops.
Trump added that he is currently evaluating whether to endorse a bipartisan Senate proposal that seeks to impose extensive new sanctions on Russia.
