Russia Reports Three Perished in Recent Ukraine Drone Attack
"To our deep sorrow, as a result of the attack on the city beach (in Kursk), three people died on the spot," Kursk Governor Alexander Khinshtein stated via Telegram late Tuesday.
Initially, authorities reported four injuries from the drone strike. However, Khinshtein later updated that figure to seven.
“They have shrapnel wounds and burns of varying degrees. Five people, including a child, are in serious condition. Doctors are doing everything to save them,” he added.
Russia's Defense Ministry reported that its air defense systems intercepted a total of 86 Ukrainian drones overnight, with 23 of them being neutralized over the Kursk region.
Ukrainian officials have yet to issue a response regarding the incident or Moscow’s allegations.
