Latvia, Ukraine Ink MoU to Boost Defense Partnerships

(MENAFN) Defense chiefs from Latvia and Ukraine inked a memorandum of understanding Wednesday aimed at bolstering bilateral defense industry partnerships, the Latvian Defense Ministry announced.

The agreement solidifies both nations' pledge to expand cooperation across defense manufacturing sectors, encompassing troop training programs, research and development initiatives, and the exchange of military technology and specialized knowledge.

The framework further promotes the creation of joint defense manufacturing ventures designed to amplify industrial capabilities and foster innovation.

The ministry disclosed that Latvia's military support to Ukraine throughout this year is projected to total 0.3 percent of its gross domestic product.
